Kamryn graduated from California State University Long Beach with a B.A. in Journalism. With a passion for storytelling, she’s cultivated her own space for exercising her journalistic curriculum. She currently operates her own podcast, Awkwardly Adulting online and via social media with the intention of sharing the awkward stages of growing up. She worked as a kids’ movie commentator for the non-profit KIDS FIRST! during a portion of her high school education. She was able to attend the Washington Journalism and Media Conference in 2019 learned about the different avenues of journalism and explored the city. ​Creatively, Kamryn continues to practice her photography and audio editing skills while actively working part-time. When she’s not in class, she continues to learn more about the different styles of writing (poetry, social media, podcast scripting, live broadcast scripting, etc) reporting, generating pitches and applying journalistic practices through her own self-driven projects.
